halloweenie tyme!

halloween is a big deal around work... i'm ok with this. for our team-themed costume we're having a zombie beauty pagent. it was a little more than relief i felt when no one pressured me to wear a dress with everyone else. i'm going as a dude from 1979. the wig & glasses are from a Napoleon Dynamite set... the shirt is from Hung Over in Waterloo. i bought brown slacks on friday night as well. they're way too big so they're like polyester pyjama pants. delightful. only i would think, "oh, this isn't bad for every day use..." and it's for a fucking halloween costume. oy.

fake scar stuff... the pictures do NOT do it justice... it really does make fake scars! and this fake blood is so gross and clotted...

Funny Terrorist Interview! - The funniest bloopers are right here

god i hope my ex doesn't read this blog...

so everyone hates spiders. i know. i'm actually pretty scared of them, but in that freaked out and curious kind of way. i really hate bugs so i feel that i'm going to hedge my bets with spiders since they eat bugs. regardless, everyone pisses their pants over these sorts of pictures, but i just want to show off how rad my camera is! these were taken INSIDE the house through the kitchen window. how cool is that and it STILL got that much detail! i'm impressed. i feel like showing them off as well... and also mentioning that the ones i took outside looked terrible because i was too chicken shit to move my hand closer to the spider.
it's eating a fly... neat. ok, so, whatever. no one really reads this blog right?

"you have to maintain *some* level of decency..."

i snapped off a hank of pickled string bean... hugh grant droned in the background with pink, turned up lips and tweed suit. me loving a full head of hair. i thought about grabbing it with my fingers. oh sweet merchant and ivory dvd... i certainly felt it money well spent even though i found it tenuously flawed compared to the book. the bean left an burning imprint on my lip from the spices that had been fermenting in a jar for a year.
"maurice" had often been propped up in front of my face from age 16 onwards. it mattered little that it was the only e.m. forster book i had bothered to read... nor did it strike me as odd that my day dreams were of me as clive incarnate forever leaning against a knee hoping for a pet... a rough hand through the curls... the breathless wait for a cue to make a move.
all this was painfully anchored to the way i pined for a replica of myself but wound up crashing into the lives of gob-struck simpletons. oh i TRIED the whole taoism stuff... the stuck up coward in me fanned my face in disdain one minute but feasted on a sense of having the smart-ass upper hand. always propelled face first into the chest of some lunk... some "good, blundering creature"... someone who kept me near when i fussed in silence wanting more out of the time spent together.
it's always pleasing to have an introspective movie night.

scratch 'n win

i had successfully flipped out. i had snapped a bookshelf into pieces after hurling the contents of its shelves flying. panting and face thumping hot with blood and sweat i took a look around... i could clean it up in the morning. my temper often packed up into a compact suitcase exploded open for the smallest of catalysts. three separate plans that evening with friends had been cut short so they could go get laid. a reason i had no problem using to jettison plans at a moments notice... so it wasn't the mechanics of the brush off, more that this wasn't a night i wanted to be left alone. no one else knew that, it was my own cluttered sanity that craved it... no point in forming any blame. well, other than for me in raging and destroying whatever i could reach in the peak of my anger. normally only lasting for a few smashed things i had gone on longer than i usually do. i sat on the corner of my bed and shook a little. maybe time to lay back and try to seize my blood pressure before i chugged a clot into my brain after shaking everything loose.
miserable whine that thankfully no one could hear.
finally calming down. finally feeling embarassed enough to push myself further onto the bed and lay down. i clicked a light on and listlessly flipped through a joey steffano biography only grazing on chapters i had already read... trying to induce myself into displacing my feelings with a decisive, "it could be way worse..."
